ABOUT CENTRAL KENYA AGRO-TECH FARMERS' EXPO
FOCUS: Horticulture; Dairy; Coffee; Cereals & Tubers; Floriculture
The Central Kenya Agro-Tech Farmers Expo is the ultimate Expo with a focus on the Central Kenya region of Kenya.
Central Kenya is Kenya's leading producer of fruits, flowers and vegetables; milk products; and cereals and tubers - and is the main source of these commodities into the important export market.
Thika Town sits at the entry point of Central Kenya. The town is the gateway to a number of counties and the greater Central Kenya region. It is for this reason that we have organised a two-day fair in this key town - and which focuses on Kenya's bread basket in matters agriculture.
The Trade Fair is targeted at the following counties in the region: Kiambu, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Meru, Embu, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Laikipia and Machakos.
The Trade Fair provides an opportunity to a number of players in the agriculture value chain to reach out to farmers by exhibiting in this great trade forum:
- Suppliers of equipment, packaging, agrochemicals and services to the agriculture industry;
- Food processors; exporters and packers of agricultural produce;
- County, National and regional Government agencies with roles in agriculture, agri-business and trade
- NGOs and foreign missions involved in the agriculture value chain.
The unique mix of exhibitors and attendees from the region provides an excellent opportunity for the agriculture value chain players to trade, network and learn at this unique Trade Fair.
One unique feature of the Central Kenya Agro-Tech Expo is the opportunity offered for the farmers to attend the Expo and at the same time attend a workshop on agricultural practice and post-harvest management.
